Virgilio S. Almario Pambansang Alagad ng Sining

National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario will launch his new book, Filipino ng mga Filipino at 5 P.M. on March 5, 2009 at the Claro M. Recto Hall, Bulwagang Rizal (Faculty Center), UP Diliman.

Filipino ng mga Filipino is published by Anvil. The launch takes place four days before Almario’s birthday on March 9.

After the event, Almario will swear in the new members and officers of the Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA), the Filipino poetry group that he founded in 1985 and advises to this day.
